~PATCHOULI~

For centuries, Patchouli has been used to fight infections, cool fevers, digest toxic materials in the body, and prevent the spread of disease. It is a stimulant to the digestive system, and has been known to aid appetite control and weight reduction. It is also used as a restorative for the skin and has been reported to offer relief to sufferers of acne, eczema, herpes, and other skin complaints. Patchouli is said to reduce wrinkles and help heal chapped and cracked skin.

Patchouli is calming and relaxing with a sedative effect. It is widely known as an aphrodisiac, and may have a particular effect on sex and physical energy.

"Has an earthy smell and at the same time, this hot bright quality to it. It is a spicy sassafras leaf in the autumn, cut loose from its mother tree- wildly brilliant on the one hand; compost on the other. I wore this oil around town as part of this project. Women loved it and would all but lick my neck when they got a whiff. Men never noticed."

~CLARITY~

Clarity helps you feel relaxed and refreshed. It clears the head and helps balance the emotions. It seems to strengthen psychic awareness - yet another level of clarity that gets addressed! This blend offers a boost to the immune system, and smells bright and fresh!

"Smells yellow to me, citrus-y, sharp. If it were in the winter, maybe I would have painted a pretty blue bowl with lemons in it. Later in the summer, perhaps yellow sunflowers with some lavender to complement and evoke. At this time of year, however, the sound of yellow is an incessant zzzzt-zzzt of hurtling insect bodies and yellow feels like a sort of wondering anxiety about all those little holes in the roof trusses. In the month of May, Clarity = yellow = Carpenter Beastie meets Yella Wood."
