Blue Notes
~BLUE EUCALYPTUS~

This essential oil is distilled from the blue-green leaves of the Eucalyptus tree, and is one of the most widely used essential oils. It is mostly known for its effects on the respiratory system, and is often employed as a constituent of cold and flu remedies. It fights viruses and bacteria, while easing congestion and reducing inflammation. It also helps ease muscle and joint aches and pains.

Eucalyptus is cooling to the body in the summer, and protects in the winter. It is refreshing to the system, and has been said to cool heated emotions.

It can be mentally stimulating and may help increase concentration while reviving the mind.

Eucalyptus is also very grounding and harmonizing. It promotes health, well-being, purification, and healing.

… "The second vial of oil had no color, but it had a very strong, single note - BLUE. I had to use blue; the message was quite clear and very insistent. The scent resonated and echoed, but it was blue over and over again. As I painted there was a sense of landscape - forest and lake, trees and water.

When Meg told me the scent was Blue Eucalyptus, it made perfect sense."

Layers of Dreams
~ENCHANTMENT~

In all honesty, I am still not quite sure I know what this oil blend actually does.

What I DO know, however, is the scent definitely hooks your attention and draws you in. I have had people stop me on the street to ask about Enchantment after they have smelled it on my clothes. It seems to captivate and almost make the heart bubble with delight. It encourages you to take a deep breath, and just feel the vitality that courses through your veins.

It appears to strengthen and enliven the body, spirit, and the senses, and acts as an all around "feel-good" tonic.

"I really had no idea what to expect, either from the scents or myself, as I began this project.

I opened one of the small vials and inhaled. It was the blended oil, and its color was a deep green. Intense, pungent, sweet - layered. I began painting with interference green, a non-color color which has the capacity to alter whatever is layered under or over it. On top of this layer I painted a mix of deep greens, in waves and washes, in all directions. Then came browns and gold, which I painted in an almost meditative state. The painting continued, a new layer suggesting itself every day or so. I'm still not sure the painting is finished.

I was fascinated to learn when I took the painting to Meg, that the name of the blended oil was "Enchantment". It certainly felt as though I was enchanted while making this painting."
